SUP Phuket – Unique Way to Explore the Beaches

SUP Phuket, what is it? have you ever heard of Stand Up Paddle Boarding? Looking at the photos, does it seem difficult? The truth is, SUP is the fastest growing water sport in the world. Suitable for every age and fitness level, it takes place on the water’s surface, offering scenic views of the environment. Phuket features some of the most delightful sights in the world: imagine being able to revel in them away from all the noise and crowds, feeling like one with the sun and the ocean…

Best Season for SUP in Phuket

Due to the nature of Phuket’s waters, SUP is mainly possible during the high season, between November and April. Exploring the area on a stand up paddleboard is a valuable experience for every beachgoer. It takes a bit of practice for the newcomers, however the boards are steady and everyone can learn to balance and paddle after a quick training.

SUP Tour Phuket – Recommended Sites

If you are looking for a unique beach activity to enjoy with family and friends, Skylas Surf & SUP Club at Bang Tao Beach, offers two kinds of guided SUP Phuket tours. The so called Relax Tour takes approximately 1.5 hours and is done at a leisure pace, appropriate for families with children and the not-so-sporty ocean lovers. For those that are fit or have paddle boarded before, the 2-3 hour long Adventure Tour promises a winsome experience of our picturesque island.

And if you happen to get hooked – like yours truly – don’t worry. At Skyla’s you can rent the SUP equipment daily, continuing to fall in love as you glide towards those captivating shores. If you are interested in spending couple of days in this lovely area, then you may check out: Bang Tao Beach Villas. Some of them include airport shuttle’s service and a private chef.

Hello, how long does it take to learn how to get control over the surfboard? My age is over 50 and was wondering is there an age limitation?
